Ideal Omega 3Barlean's Ideal Omega 3, Orange, 30 Softgels

Alaskan pollock oil in one concentrated softgel

The oil comes from pollock caught in Alaskan waters and is molecularly distilled, and Barlean's states that each softgel delivers 1,060 mg of total omega-3s. The softgels use the brand's patented FreshTech technology, and the label describes the oil as pharmaceutical grade.

One a day with a meal

The concentration means a single softgel makes up the daily serving, which keeps the routine simple. The bottle holds a month's supply and measures about 11 x 6.2 x 6 cm, small enough for a kitchen shelf or desk drawer.

Testing and sustainability

The manufacturer says every batch is tested by IFOS, the independent fish oil testing programme, and that the product holds a five-star IFOS rating. The fish oil is certified to Marine Stewardship Council standards for sustainable seafood, and the orange taste comes from natural flavour, with natural mixed tocopherols also added.

How to use

Take one softgel a day with a meal.

Before you choose

This is a fish oil supplement containing fish (pollock), and the softgel shell is made with gelatine, so it is not suitable for vegetarians. Keep the bottle tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place. Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
