Omega-3s bound to phospholipids

Krill are small, shrimp-like crustaceans from Antarctic waters, and the brand explains that krill oil differs from fish oil because its omega-3s are bound to phospholipids. Each softgel contains 280 mg of phospholipids, with 75 mg of EPA and 35 mg of DHA within its omega-3 total. The oil also naturally contains 43 mcg of astaxanthin esters per softgel, which the brand says helps protect it from oxidation.

The softgels are made from gelatin, glycerol, sorbitol and water, flavoured with vanillin. The label lists shellfish as an allergen and states the product does not contain dairy, egg, soy, wheat gluten, corn, fish, tree nuts or peanuts.
