Biotene is best known for its dry-mouth range, and this fluoride toothpaste is specially formulated not to irritate while helping to maintain a healthy oral environment, according to the brand. Sodium fluoride at 0.25% is the active ingredient, included to help protect against cavities and strengthen teeth.

A gentler foaming base

Instead of sodium lauryl sulfate, the paste uses cocamidopropyl betaine in its base, with sorbitol, glycerin and hydrated silica. It is sweetened with sodium saccharin and sucralose for a fresh mint taste. That makes it an option for anyone who has decided to avoid SLS in their toothpaste.

How to use

Adults and children aged two and over: brush thoroughly, ideally after each meal or at least twice a day, and no more than three times a day, or as a dentist or doctor directs. Keep swallowing to a minimum and spit out after brushing. For children under six, use a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing and rinsing until good habits are established. For children under two, ask a dentist or doctor.

This is a daily fluoride toothpaste, not a dry-mouth gel or rinse. Keep out of reach of children under six. If more than the amount used for brushing is swallowed by accident, get medical help straight away. Do not store above 25°C, and always follow the label.
