This tube of NOW Foods XyliWhite contains the same coconut oil and mint gel as the 181 g version, so you can keep your usual toothpaste with you away from home. It measures only about 11.4 x 3.6 x 2.3 cm, small enough for a gym kit or desk drawer.

What goes into the gel

Xylitol makes up 25% of the gel and coconut oil 10%. Papain, an enzyme from papaya, is included as the whitening ingredient, while menthol and tea tree leaf oil give a fresh finish. Sodium coco-sulfate is used instead of SLS.

A way to try the flavour

The 28 g size is also a practical way to see whether the coconut-mint taste and gel texture suit you before buying a larger tube. The brand says the paste cleanses and whitens without fluoride.

How to use

Squeeze onto a soft-bristle toothbrush and brush thoroughly after meals, at least twice a day, or as directed by your dentist. Suitable for adults and children aged 2 and over.

Before you choose

This toothpaste contains no fluoride, so speak to your dentist if you rely on fluoride for cavity protection. Xylitol is harmful to pets; keep the tube away from dogs and cats and seek veterinary care immediately if ingestion is suspected. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
