Xylitol makes up 25% of this gel, which NOW Foods notes is one of the higher levels available. The flavour comes from cinnamon (cassia) leaf oil, giving an option for anyone who prefers not to brush with mint, and tea tree leaf oil is also included.

Whitening and cleaning ingredients

Papain, an enzyme from papaya, is listed as the whitening ingredient, while hydrated silica and sodium bicarbonate help clean. The brand says the gel helps reduce plaque and whitens without fluoride. Sodium coco-sulfate is used in place of SLS, and the ingredients are vegetarian and vegan.

Tube size

How to use

Squeeze onto a soft-bristle toothbrush and brush thoroughly after meals, at least twice a day, or as directed by your dentist. Suitable for adults and children aged 2 and over.
