A concentrated, molecularly distilled fish oil

DHA-500 provides 500 mg of DHA and 250 mg of EPA per softgel, which NOW describes as twice the DHA of its regular-strength product at 250 mg per softgel. The oil is molecularly distilled, and the manufacturer states it is tested to be free of potentially harmful levels of PCBs, dioxins, mercury and other heavy metals.

Coating and pack size

The softgel is enteric coated and odour controlled. At one to two softgels a day, the 90-count bottle lasts between 45 and 90 days. NOW is a GOED Omega-3 member and lists the product as non-GMO, halal and kosher (contains gelatin).

How to use

Take one softgel one to two times daily with food. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.

Before you choose

For adults only. Contains fish (anchovies, sardines, tuna) and bovine gelatin. Natural colour variation may occur. The label says it is not made with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, shellfish or sesame ingredients, but is produced in a facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens. Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant or nursing, take medication or have a medical condition. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions. Food supplement.
