Colostrum PowderNOW Foods Colostrum Powder, 85 g (3 oz)

A plain colostrum powder from NOW Foods

Colostrum is the fluid mammals produce in the first days after birth, before regular milk starts. This version is bovine-derived and the label highlights its naturally occurring immunoglobulins and lactoferrin. It is sold by weight in an 85 g (3 oz) pack.

Short ingredient list and how it is made

Besides the colostrum itself, the only additions listed are sunflower lecithin and maltodextrin. NOW Foods labels it non-GMO and kosher dairy, states that no synthetic growth hormones were used, and says it was packaged and quality tested in the USA.

How to use

Take 1 teaspoon once or twice daily as needed.

Before you choose

It contains milk and bovine-derived ingredients, and the label advises avoiding it if you are lactose intolerant or sensitive to dairy. Do not eat the freshness packet enclosed in the pack. It is made in a facility that also processes other ingredients containing common allergens, and natural colour variation may occur. Store in a cool, dry place after opening. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions. Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision.
