Oral Essentials Whitening ToothpasteLumineux Oral Essentials Whitening Toothpaste Fluoride Free, 106 g (3.8 oz)

Whitening without peroxide

Lumineux takes a different route from peroxide-based whiteners, using oils to help break up stains so teeth look smoother, cleaner and brighter. The brand aims it at everyday marks from coffee, tea, wine, green juices and tobacco. The manufacturer states it is dentist formulated, and it is made in the USA.

A formula built on unrefined ingredients

Instead of preservatives, the paste relies on ingredients the brand describes as pure and unrefined, including French essential oils and organic aloe vera juice. Lumineux describes the formula as certified non-toxic, with no artificial flavours or colours.

What whitening means here

This is a daily whitening toothpaste that works on surface stains through regular brushing. It is not a bleaching kit, so the change you see will depend on the stains you start with and how consistently you use it.

How to use

Put a small amount on your toothbrush and brush for two minutes, twice a day.

Before you choose

This paste contains no fluoride, so it may not suit you if you want a fluoride toothpaste. The manufacturer notes that it may cause sensitivity if used incorrectly, so stick to the twice-daily directions. Keep it out of reach of children, and if it is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
