Carlson pairs 28 mg of iron per capsule with B complex vitamins, vitamin C and copper, and describes the formula as gentle on the stomach. Other listed nutrients per capsule include vitamin A at 1,500 mcg RAE, vitamin C at 120 mg, vitamin E at 20.1 mg and folate at 680 mcg DFE.

One capsule with a meal

The label is written for adult women, with one capsule a day taken at mealtime. A bottle of 180 capsules therefore lasts around six months at that amount.

Capsule and fillers

The nutrients are held in a beef gelatin capsule with dicalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose as the other ingredients. The capsule is beef gelatin rather than a plant-based shell.
