Spearmint Tea Alpi Nature Spearmint Tea 250 g (8.8 oz) Nana Mint Loose Leaf

Softer and sweeter than peppermint

Nana is a spearmint variety known for a sweet, refreshing flavour and a mild menthol aroma. Without the sharp edge of peppermint, it gives a gentler, more delicate cup, which is why it is the traditional choice for Moroccan mint tea.

A larger pack for regular brewing

This 250 g bag suits households that drink mint tea often or brew it by the pot. The leaves are dried and cut, ready to spoon into a teapot or infuser, and Bulgaria is listed as the country of origin.

Also used in cooking

Nana mint is widely used in Middle Eastern and North African cuisines, so the same pack can serve the kitchen as well as the teapot. The only ingredient is spearmint.

How to use

Put 1-2 teaspoons into a 250 ml cup and pour over boiling water. The label suggests leaving it covered for 6-8 minutes, while the manufacturer's brewing guide gives 3-5 minutes, so adjust to taste and strain before drinking. A strainer or infuser makes brewing easier.

Before you choose

This is loose-leaf herb rather than tea bags. The manufacturer lists no specific safety warnings and states the tea is caffeine free. Always read the label, warnings and directions before use.
