Ubiquinol made by fermentation

The ubiquinol in these softgels is supplied by Kaneka, which the brand says produces it from CoQ10 through a biological fermentation process. Swanson notes that most of the CoQ10 stored in the body is in the ubiquinol form, and this softgel supplies that form directly.

A flaxseed oil base

Each softgel suspends the ubiquinol in flaxseed oil, with beeswax, sunflower lecithin, carob and vitamin E from mixed tocopherols and sunflower oil. The shell is made from gelatin and glycerin.

A loading phase, then once daily

The label suggests two softgels a day for the first two weeks, then one a day after that. On that schedule the 60-softgel bottle lasts around six and a half weeks, and longer once you are on the single daily softgel. The bottle measures roughly 8.8 x 4.7 x 4.6 cm.

How to use

For the first two weeks, take one softgel twice a day with food and water. After that, take one softgel a day with food and water.
