Product details

Psyllium husk and apple pectin in a capsule

Psyllium husk and apple pectin are both fibre ingredients, and this NOW Foods product delivers them in a cellulose capsule rather than as a loose powder. The manufacturer notes that psyllium can swell to as much as 50 times its starting volume when mixed with liquid, which is why the directions call for plenty of water.

Pack size and formulation

The 360-capsule bottle is a large size for regular use. The capsules are hypromellose with vegetable-source stearic acid and silicon dioxide, and the product is described as non-GMO, vegetarian/vegan, kosher and halal.

How to use

Take 2 capsules with an 8 oz (about 240 ml) glass of liquid, 2 to 3 times a day. Always take with at least a full glass of liquid.
