What NAC is

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the non-essential amino acid cysteine. It is a sulfur-containing amino acid that is also needed for the body to form glutathione. This formula adds selenium, which NOW Foods describes as an essential trace mineral involved in producing several enzymes.

Pack size and routine

At the suggested use of one capsule twice daily, a 250-count bottle lasts around 125 days. The capsule shell is hypromellose, and the label lists the product as kosher, halal and non-GMO.

Good to know about the capsules

Speckling in the capsule or natural colour variation can occur when the contents are exposed to air, which the manufacturer says does not affect product quality. A freshness packet is included in the bottle.

How to use

Take one capsule twice daily.
