N-acetyl cysteine in a single-ingredient tablet

NAC, or N-acetyl cysteine, is a stable form of cysteine, a non-essential sulphur-containing amino acid. This NOW Foods product provides it on its own in a 1,000 mg tablet, so it fits easily into an existing routine without extra ingredients to track.

What comes in the pack

The pack holds 120 tablets coated with a vegetarian film made from hypromellose and sunflower-derived ingredients. The suggested use is one tablet, up to three times a day.

Quality information

The manufacturer states the product is made and quality tested in the USA with globally sourced ingredients and produced in a GMP facility, and it is labelled non-GMO, vegetarian and vegan. NOW Foods has been family owned since 1968.

How to use

Take one tablet, one to three times daily.

Before you choose

For adults only. Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant or nursing, taking medication (especially nitroglycerin) or have a medical condition. Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients, but produced in a GMP facility that also processes other ingredients containing these allergens. Natural colour variation may occur. Store in a cool, dry place after opening. Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision.
