A mint-flavoured chlorophyll liquid

Chlorophyll is the green pigment made naturally by plants, and this concentrate is a water-soluble extract in the form of sodium copper chlorophyllin, flavoured with peppermint oil.

Concentration and ingredients

The manufacturer describes it as four times more concentrated than its regular product, so the daily measure is only a quarter teaspoon. The liquid is made with vegetable glycerin, de-ionised water and peppermint oil, with potassium sorbate as a preservative, and is made without yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or sesame ingredients.

How to use

Mix 1/4 teaspoon daily in 8 oz (about 235 ml) of water or juice. Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening.

Before you choose

For adults only. Taken by mouth, chlorophyll may cause diarrhoea or green discolouration of urine or stools. It contains a green pigment that can stain clothing, and may stain teeth if taken undiluted, so use only as directed. Natural colour variation may occur. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions. Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision.
