Type II Collagen Complex is built around BioCell Collagen, a low molecular weight, water-soluble complex that the manufacturer says is derived entirely from chicken sternum cartilage. Each capsule is labelled 500 mg.

An animal-derived formula

As both the collagen source and the bovine gelatin capsule are animal-based, this product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. Jarrow describes it as non-GMO and gluten free, and states that it contains no wheat, soybeans, dairy, egg, fish or shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts or sesame. At two capsules a day, a bottle lasts 30 days.
