Himalaya combines neem, pomegranate and mint in an invigorating blend designed to leave your mouth feeling fresh. With regular brushing, the brand says it helps remove plaque, supports healthy-looking gums and keeps teeth looking white. It is designed to be bursting with flavour and foam.

What is in the paste

Calcium carbonate and xylitol lead the ingredient list, with baking soda, zinc citrate, thymol and sea-water sodium chloride also included. Organic extracts of neem, pomegranate and amla sit alongside menthol from mint leaves, and stevia sweetens the paste. Lauryl glucoside from coconut oil is the main cleanser.

Free from and family owned

The paste is carrageenan free, gluten free and vegan, with no artificial colours and no animal testing, and Himalaya describes it as BPA free. The brand has been family owned for over 90 years. The tube holds 150 g (5.29 oz).

How to use

Brush thoroughly after each meal, or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist. Children under 6 should use a pea-sized amount under adult supervision. For children under 2, consult your dentist.

Before you choose

This is a fluoride-free toothpaste, so choose a fluoride paste if your dentist has recommended one. Under-6s need supervision and a pea-sized amount, and under-2s should only use it on a dentist's advice. Store at room temperature.
