XL Heavyweight Wall HooksCommand XL Heavyweight Wall Hooks, White, 4.5 kg (10 lb), Pack of 2

Heavier items without drilling

These hooks stick in place rather than being screwed in, which makes them useful in rented homes, offices and student rooms where drilling is not an option. They are sized for bulkier everyday items such as coats, backpacks, ironing boards, stepladders or dog leads. No tools or fixings are involved, and the hooks leave no holes or sticky residue when removed correctly.

Where they work

The adhesive is made for smooth surfaces, including painted walls, painted concrete block and bare concrete. They are intended for indoor use, including inside cupboards and wardrobes.

What comes in the pack

The pack contains two white hooks and six large adhesive strips, so you have spares for repositioning. Once the strips are used, the hooks can be reused with refill strips, which are sold separately.

How to use

Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and grime, and let it dry before applying. Apply indoors when the room is between 50 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly 10 to 40 degrees Celsius). To remove, hold the top of the strip lightly and pull it slowly straight down towards the floor. Follow the instructions included in the pack.

Before you choose

Wait seven days after painting before fixing a hook to the wall, so the paint can cure. Do not hang items over beds, do not apply to wallpaper and do not use for valuable items. Keep within the 10 lb limit per hook. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
