Organic All Red Saffron Threads Banu Saffron Organic All Red Saffron Threads Grade A 2 g (0.07 oz)

Only the red stigmas of the crocus

Banu Saffron's threads are the hand-harvested red stigmas of Crocus sativus, with the yellow parts removed so nothing is wasted. The manufacturer states the saffron is certified organic, tested for purity, strength and colouring power, and was recognised with a Great Taste award in 2022. It is listed as originating in Spain.

Colour and aroma for many cuisines

A few threads add colour, floral aroma and flavour to paella, risotto, biryani, curries and rice dishes, as well as desserts, baking and saffron tea. Saffron features across Spanish, Persian, Indian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking, and also suits saffron lattes and golden milk.

Sealed in a glass jar

The 2 g of threads come in a sealed glass jar, which helps protect the delicate threads from moisture and light between uses.

How to use

Follow the serving directions printed on the label. The saffron threads are added to dishes such as rice, paella or curries during cooking, so their colour and aroma spread through the food.

Before you choose

These are whole threads, not powdered saffron. Saffron is potent, so recipes usually need only a small pinch. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
