Vitamins, minerals and fish oil together
Carlson combines a vitamin and mineral formula with the omega-3s EPA and DHA from anchovy, sardine and mackerel. The listed nutrients include vitamins A, B, C, D and E with magnesium and zinc; per soft gel the label shows 300 mg of vitamin C, 20 mcg of vitamin D and 134 mg of vitamin E, among others. Vitamin A is supplied as beta carotene.
One soft gel with a meal and water
The serving is one soft gel a day at mealtime, taken with a full glass of water. The 120 soft gels therefore last around four months at that amount.
What is in the fill
Olive, sunflower, soybean and medium chain triglyceride oils carry the nutrients, with beeswax, soy lecithin, maltodextrin and microcrystalline cellulose. Each soft gel lists 10 calories and 1 g of total fat, and Carlson labels the product gluten free with no artificial preservatives.
How to use
Adults: take one soft gel daily at mealtime with a full glass of water.
Before you choose
This formula contains no iron, so it does not suit anyone specifically looking for an iron-containing multivitamin. It contains soy and fish (anchovy, sardine and mackerel) in a bovine gelatin shell, so it is not suitable for vegetarians, vegans or anyone with a fish or soy allergy.
