Vegan and Kosher-certified enzyme capsules

According to the label, Aminolase TPA is certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association and Kosher Star-K. The manufacturer states it is non-GMO tested and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) in the US. It tests free of dairy, gluten and soy allergens and is made without artificial colours or preservatives.

A smaller pack for trying the routine

This 30-capsule size holds the same acid-stable protease blend as larger packs, with cellulose as the only other ingredient. Because the dose is one capsule per 25 g of protein, how long a pack lasts depends on how many protein-rich meals or shakes you have.

Swallowing or mixing

Most people will swallow a capsule and follow it with a protein drink. Opening a capsule into a shake also works, but the manufacturer points out that the enzymes begin turning protein into amino acids within minutes, which alters the flavour and texture.

How to use

Take one capsule per 25 g of protein with 8 fl oz (about 240 ml) of water at the beginning of each protein-containing meal. If added directly to a protein drink, consume within five minutes of mixing.
