Spry is Xlear's xylitol-based toothpaste, designed to work alongside the brand's other Spry products as a complete routine. Xlear says it helps control tartar, reduce plaque build-up and stop bacteria sticking to teeth and gums. The formula is described as natural and is certified kosher and halal.

What Enamel Max brings

The paste includes Enamel Max, which Xlear says is designed to harden and strengthen tooth enamel and help with sensitivity. Behind it, the formula combines silica, xylitol and erythritol with l-arginine, cranberry extract, zinc citrate and sodium trimetaphosphate.

Gentle cleansers and peppermint

Instead of SLS, it uses lauryl glucoside and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, and it is paraben free. Natural peppermint flavour and stevia give it a fresh taste, and the tube holds 141 g (5 oz).

How to use

Adults and children aged two and over should brush teeth thoroughly after each meal, or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist.

Before you choose

This is a fluoride-free toothpaste, so it may not suit you if your dentist has advised fluoride. The formula contains titanium dioxide and sodium benzoate. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
