A rinse built around fresh breath
TheraBreath Fresh Breath Oral Rinse is a pH-balanced, non-burning rinse that the brand describes as starting to work instantly and keeping breath fresh for up to 12 hours. It contains no alcohol and is flavoured with menthol for an icy mint taste.
Formula and background
The formula includes xylitol and sodium bicarbonate and is described as free from alcohol and dyes. It is listed as certified vegan, kosher and gluten-free, and not tested on animals. Dr. Harold Katz created the TheraBreath range in 1993, and the bottle holds 473 ml (16 fl oz).
How to use
Adults aged 18 and over rinse and gargle with 10 ml (2 teaspoons) twice daily for 90 seconds after brushing; ages 12 to 17 use 10 ml once daily. Do not swallow, and wait 5 minutes before eating.
Before you choose
Keep out of reach of children under 12 and use only as directed. If more than the amount used for rinsing is swallowed, seek help from a poison control centre. Do not use it with other products containing chlorite. If spilled on fabrics, wash out immediately, and do not use it if the seal is broken or missing. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
