A brewed blend built on roasted roots and seeds

Instead of coffee beans, this blend uses roasted chicory, roasted date seed, fig, roasted burdock and roasted cacao, with Ceylon cinnamon and vanilla bean. Rasa adds full-spectrum extracts of rehmannia, ashwagandha (Sensoril), jujube fruit, wild jujube seed and reishi fruiting body. Many of the ingredients are marked organic on the label.

A caffeine-free cup for any time of day

With no caffeine, Calm can be brewed in the evening as well as the morning. Rasa notes it is not a sedative. The flavour is described as creamy date seed and vanilla, and it is made in a cafetière or moka pot just like ground coffee.

What is in the bag

The bag holds 8 oz (226 g), enough for about 30 servings of one tablespoon (7.5 g). Each serving provides 400 mg rehmannia, 250 mg ashwagandha at 10% withanolides, 200 mg jujube fruit, 100 mg jujube seed and 65 mg reishi 16:1. Boxed, it measures roughly 13.8 x 13.7 x 5.8 cm.

How to use

Brew one tablespoon (7.5 g) with one cup (8 oz or 250 ml) of fully boiling water. Allow 10 to 15 minutes in a cafetière, or about 5 minutes in a moka pot.
