Balance is made for coffee drinkers who prefer a lightly caffeinated cup: the blend is 67% decaffeinated arabica and 33% regular arabica. The coffee is naturally water processed, and the blend gives a lower-caffeine cup without switching to a fully decaf coffee.

Organic, bird-friendly beans

Purity sources specialty-grade organic beans from regenerative, biodynamic farms. The coffee is USDA Organic, certified by PCO, and Smithsonian Bird Friendly certified, and Purity is a Certified B Corporation. The brand states it tests its coffee to avoid mycotoxins.

Ground and sealed for freshness

The 340 g (12 oz) bag is pre-ground and ready to brew. Purity packs its coffee in barrier valve bags that are nitrogen-flushed before sealing. The brand lists the taste profile as vanilla, berry and roasted almond.

How to use

Use filtered water and clean brewing equipment. Start with 4 tablespoons (20 g) per 12 fl oz (about 355 ml) mug and adjust to taste, with the water between 90°C and 96°C (195-205°F). Once opened, keep air out of the bag and use within about 10 days to keep its aroma.

Before you choose

This is a part-decaffeinated ground coffee, not a caffeine-free one. It still contains caffeine, so check it suits you if you are sensitive to caffeine or limiting your intake. It is ground, so it is not suitable for bean-to-cup machines that need whole beans. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
