An ultra-filtered whey isolate

Gold Standard 100% Isolate takes all of its protein from whey isolate, passed through ultra-filtration to reduce fat and carbohydrate. Each serving of about 31 g contains 0.5 g of fat and 1 g of carbohydrate, with naturally occurring BCAAs.

Testing and flavour

The label lists the powder as gluten free, artificially flavoured and regularly tested for banned substances under the Informed Choice programme. The brand says it has been making sports nutrition for over 35 years in 90+ countries, and this 1.36 kg (3 lb) tub is in Chocolate Bliss flavour.

How to use

Mix about 1 scoop (31 g) into 6-8 fl oz of cold water, milk or another drink, and stir, shake or blend for about 30 seconds until dissolved. For best results, have your shake 30-60 minutes after a workout, or at any time of day to add protein to your diet. Healthy adults should meet daily protein needs through a combination of high-protein foods and supplements as part of a balanced diet.
