Coding and diagnostics from your phone

The OBDLink CX plugs into the car's OBD port and pairs with an iOS or Android phone from within the app. It is made for BimmerCode and covers the vehicles, protocols and features that app supports. The OBDLink app is also included for live parameters, diagnostics and clearing the check-engine light.

Can stay plugged in

Sleep mode and overvoltage protection mean the adapter can be left in the port between uses. OBDLink states a three-year warranty for the CX.

What comes in the box

The box contains the OBDLink CX scanner (model CX101, weighing 2.46 oz), a quick start guide, a compliance insert and a warranty card.

How to use

Plug the adapter into the car's OBD port, then open the BimmerCode or OBDLink app on your phone and pair over Bluetooth. Follow the prompts in the app to read data from the car.

Before you choose

The BimmerCode app is sold separately. Use the troubleshooting guide and the BimmerCode app to confirm your vehicle's compatibility and the features available.
