Built for spark plugs in deep wells

A magnet inside this GEARWRENCH socket holds the plug, so you can lower it into a deep plug well and lift the plug back out without it dropping. The rubber insert also cushions and centres the plug as you work.

Reaching plugs that sit off-line

The swivel lets the socket angle when the plug is not directly in line with your ratchet, which helps in crowded engine bays. Off-corner loading puts the turning force on the flats rather than the corners of the fastener, which reduces the chance of rounding it off.

Sizes and fit

The socket has a 3/8 inch square drive and a 5/8 inch, 6-point opening, with an overall length of 6 inches. It is used with a 3/8 inch drive ratchet or extension. One socket is supplied, part number 80546.

How to use

Fit the socket onto a 3/8 inch drive ratchet or extension, then lower it over the spark plug in its well. The magnet holds the plug as you turn it, and the swivel helps when the angle is awkward.
