The 1222 is a Posi-Temp replacement cartridge made by Moen for single-handle faucets, the US term for taps and mixer valves. It is the internal part that sits inside the valve body behind the handle. Swapping in a like-for-like cartridge lets you keep the existing valve body and trim.

One replacement cartridge is supplied, carrying Moen model number 1222. Check the number against your existing cartridge or the valve documentation before ordering.
How to use
Turn off the water supply, remove the handle and trim to reach the valve, then take out the old cartridge and fit the 1222 in its place. Refit the handle and trim, following Moen's instructions.
