Writing practice with room for pictures
This journal is laid out for children who are learning to write and like to illustrate their own stories. The lower half of every page carries dotted and solid primary ruling to guide letter height, and the top half is left empty for a drawing.
An alphabet guide on the cover
The cover shows a manuscript alphabet, so young writers have a reference for letter shapes right in front of them. The journal is aimed at US school grades K to 2.
Built to lie flat on the desk
A sewn binding lets the journal open flat, which makes it easier for small hands to write right across the page. It holds 100 double-sided sheets measuring 7.5 x 9.75 inches.
How to use
Open the journal and write on the ruled lines, using the plain space above for drawings. Children can follow the alphabet guide on the cover for letter shapes while they practise.

One journal is supplied, and the cover colour is picked at random from red, blue, green or purple, so a particular colour cannot be requested. US grade levels do not map exactly onto UK school years. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
