Rebuild damaged wood with a hand-mixed putty

KwikWood is a two-part epoxy putty that you knead together before applying, with no separate mixing tools needed. It is suggested for repairing hinge areas, dry rot, gouges, cracks and knot holes, and can be used for interior or exterior jobs.

Works like wood once cured

After curing, the putty can be sanded, drilled, tapped and painted, so repairs can be finished to blend in. The cured colour is a light tan. The manufacturer states it will not shrink or rot, and it is water resistant with no solvents.

Stick size and strength

You receive one 1 oz putty stick. The listed lap shear strength is 900 PSI, suited to small household fixes rather than structural work.

How to use

Knead the two parts together by hand until the colour is even, then apply to the repair. You have 15 to 25 minutes of working time, and full cure takes 1 hour.
