The ECOGARD XC36080 sits in the vehicle's ventilation system and filters the air coming into the cabin. The manufacturer says it captures up to 99.5% of dust, pollen and other particles. It is also intended to help keep airflow steady through the heating and cooling system.

Pleated construction and size

The filter is made from pleated paper, which gives a larger surface area within the frame. It measures 10.9 inches long, 9.5 inches wide and 2.1 inches thick, and weighs 2.4 ounces. One filter is supplied in the pack.

When to change it

Fit a new filter at the interval your vehicle manufacturer recommends, or sooner if you notice airflow from the vents dropping. Changing it on time helps the ventilation system work as designed.

How to use

Open the cabin filter housing, slide out the old filter and fit the new one in the same position, then close the housing. Check your vehicle handbook for where the filter sits.
