A one-minute pre-shampoo treatment
VO5 Hot Oil is warmed in its tube and worked through wet hair before you shampoo. The treatment stays on for no more than a minute, so it fits easily into a normal hair wash. VO5 aims it at hair that feels stressed, dry or damaged and in need of extra moisture.
What is in the formula
Alongside aloe leaf juice, the formula includes hydrolysed wheat and soy proteins and keratin amino acids. The five vitamins are listed as biotin, vitamin E, panthenol, vitamin C and niacinamide. VO5 states that the product is made in the USA.
Two single-use tubes
Each pack holds two 14 ml (0.5 oz) tubes, giving two weekly treatments. The small tubes are easy to store in a bathroom cabinet or take away for a weekend.
How to use
Stand one tube in hot tap water for one minute to warm it. Apply to wet hair before shampooing, massage through and leave on for up to one minute. Rinse thoroughly, then shampoo as usual. Use once a week or as needed.
Before you choose
This is a rinse-off conditioning treatment, not a leave-in oil. Check that the warmed contents are a comfortable temperature before applying to the hair and scalp. The formula contains wheat and soy proteins and methylparaben. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
