This styling product starts as a fine powder and only becomes a wax once it is rubbed between the palms. That makes it easy to control how much goes into the hair, and the result is a non-sticky texture rather than a heavy paste. It was created by STMNT co-founder Sofie Pok.

Grip and lift with a soft finish

The wax gives pliable grip with medium control, so hair can still be reshaped through the day. It adds volume and leaves a semi-matte finish rather than shine. The brand describes the formula as vegan, with no animal-derived ingredients, and says it is PETA approved and cruelty-free.

Size

The pot holds 15 g (0.5 oz) and comes boxed at about 9.9 x 3.9 x 3.8 cm, small enough for a wash bag or gym kit.

How to use

Sprinkle onto dry hair and work through with your palms, or rub the powder between your hands until it turns into a wax, then work it into the hair.

Before you choose

This is a medium-hold, semi-matte styler, not a high-shine or firm-hold product. Do not inhale the powder, and avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
