Coconut-based gel for training sessions

In this version organic coconut oil leads the ingredient list, and the gel is spread over target areas before exercise or a sauna. The manufacturer says it is activated as your heart rate rises, and lists cardio, weights, circuit training, HIIT, Pilates, yoga, spin and dry or infrared saunas as suitable uses.

No added fragrance listed

Unlike the scented versions, the coconut ingredient list does not include fragrance. The rest of the base is petrolatum, Brazilian carnauba wax, organic castor and jojoba oils, virgin camelina oil, olive squalane, aloe vera extract and vitamin E, and the manufacturer lists it as Leaping Bunny certified and cruelty free.

The tub holds 181 g (6.4 oz) and measures about 19.2 x 5.5 x 5.3 cm.

How to use

Before exercising or using a sauna, apply a thin layer over all target areas without rubbing it in. Use it on clean skin with no creams, lotions or other topical products, which hinder the gel. Wear loose clothing over the gel, exercise as usual, then wipe off with a towel before showering. The manufacturer suggests using it with its waist, arm and thigh trimmers, sold separately.

Before you choose

This is a topical gel to use around workouts, not a slimming product or medicine. For external use only. Avoid eye contact and discontinue use if irritation occurs. A pre-wash stain remover may be needed on clothing. Heat can make the gel liquid; let it solidify at room temperature or in the fridge if so, and do not leave it in a car or direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
