A retinol serum designed for a gradual start

SOME BY MI built this serum around its Re-Activate approach, aimed at skin that has become easily sensitised. Alongside the retinol, it uses 1ppm retinal and 5,000ppm bakuchiol, a plant-derived ingredient, and adds the brand's Truecica blend for comfort. It is intended for daily use once your skin has adjusted.

Aimed at fine lines and texture

The Retinol line targets the look of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin texture. The label also lists centella, ginseng berry, licorice root, fig and tea tree extracts, plus collagen and resveratrol. The 30 ml bottle is packed at approx. 10.2 x 3.2 x 5 cm.

What to expect from a retinol serum

Changes in the look of lines and texture build over weeks of regular use, and results vary from person to person. The brand builds in an adjustment period, so start slowly rather than applying a large amount from day one.

How to use

For the first 1-2 weeks, use a small amount once a day in the evening, or once every 2 days if your skin is very sensitive, and follow with plenty of moisturising care. After about 3 weeks, once your skin has adapted, you can increase how often and how much you use.

Before you choose

This serum contains retinol and retinal, so it may not suit you if your skin reacts to retinol. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, and stop using it if irritation, redness or discomfort occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
