Double-strength omega-3

This Solgar fish oil provides 700 mg of omega-3 triglyceride, including 600 mg of EPA and DHA, from cold-water fish. The manufacturer says the oil is molecularly distilled to remove mercury. It is described as non-GMO and free from gluten, wheat, dairy, yeast, sugar, sodium and artificial flavour, sweetener and colour.

Softgels and pack size

The suggested use is one softgel three times daily, preferably with meals, so a bottle of 120 gives a 40-day supply. The softgel shell is gelatin with vegetable glycerin, and mixed tocopherols are used. Solgar has made supplements since 1947.

Before you choose

Contains fish (anchovy, mackerel, sardine). The shell contains gelatin, so it is not suitable for vegetarians. The label advises consulting your healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking any medications (including blood thinners), planning any medical or surgical procedure or have any medical condition, and stopping use if you have adverse reactions.
