Plant-based materials
The cover is polypropylene derived from 25% Brazilian sugarcane, laid over board made from 100% recycled material with a minimum of 98% post-consumer content. The manufacturer states the binder contains at least 59% plant-based material, tested to ASTM D-6866, and it is USDA Certified Biobased. Samsill says sugarcane was chosen as a renewable source with minimal impact on food crops.
A cover you can personalise
A clear overlay with a non-glare finish runs over the front, back and spine for your own cover sheet and spine label. The PVC-free, non-stick polypropylene will not transfer ink or lift copy from inserts, and the manufacturer describes it as archival safe.
Capacity and storage
Three 1.5 inch round rings with double boosters hold up to 325 letter-size sheets, and they are mounted on the back lid so pages lie flat. Two clear interior pockets take notes, photos, business cards or loose pages. The binder weighs about 372g and is made in Fort Worth, Texas, by Samsill, which has manufactured in the USA since 1953.
How to use
Open the round rings, add three-hole-punched paper and close them. Slide a printed cover sheet and spine label into the clear overlays, and keep extra papers in the inside pockets.
Before you choose
Page capacity is quoted for US Letter (8.5 x 11 inch) sheets, so check the fit if you mainly file A4. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
