Colour for fabrics that standard dye misses

DyeMore is made for synthetic fabrics that ordinary dyes struggle to colour. It is also suggested for upcycling and for refreshing faded items so they can be worn again. This bottle is the Plum Berry shade in liquid form, model number 02480.

Room for creative techniques

As well as an all-over colour change, you can use it for ombre, dip dye, shibori and tie-dye effects. Rit also publishes more than 250 colour recipes on its website if you want to mix custom shades.

Check your fabric content first

DyeMore is for fabrics and blends containing 35% or more polyester, acrylic, acetate or nylon. For fabrics under 35% synthetic, Rit advises using its All-Purpose Dye instead.

How to use

Dyeing synthetics needs a stainless steel pot on the hob, so the water stays at a high temperature throughout the process. Follow the instructions on the bottle.

Before you choose

Dye can stain surfaces, hands and clothing, so protect your work area before you start. This dye is not suited to mainly natural fibres. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
