Coarse-milled corn that cooks down creamy
These grits are milled from degerminated white corn to a traditional coarse texture. Simmered in salted water, they thicken into a smooth, creamy bowl that takes well to butter and black pepper, grated cheese or a little syrup. They are also the usual base for the Southern dish of prawns and grits.
Simple, enriched ingredients
The corn is enriched with reduced iron and B vitamins: niacinamide, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin and folic acid. The listing describes the grits as zero fat, zero sodium and no added sugars, and states they are OU Kosher Pareve. Any salt in the finished bowl comes from what you add during cooking.
