MCT oil provides medium-chain triglycerides, which are fats found naturally in coconut and palm kernel oils. The suggested serving is 1 tablespoon (15 ml) a day, and it can also stand in for conventional oils in salad dressings, sauces and cooking. Because of its low smoke point, NOW does not recommend it for frying.

Sourcing and label notes

NOW states the oil is derived from coconut and palm kernel oil that is sustainably sourced. The label lists it as vegan, kosher, halal, hexane-free and Non-GMO Project Verified, describes it as keto friendly, and shows no other ingredients.

How to use

Take 1 tablespoon (15 ml) daily. It can also replace conventional oils in dressings, sauces or cooking, but is not recommended for frying. Store in a cool, dry, dark place in the tightly sealed original container; after opening it can be refrigerated or kept at cool room temperature.
