Product details

Beta carotene in an olive oil softgel

Beta carotene is a fat-soluble carotenoid found in yellow, orange and dark green vegetables, and NOW notes the body can convert it to retinol. This version is supplied in organic extra virgin olive oil, with mixed tocopherols from sunflower oil, inside a softgel.

Strength and what the softgel contains

Each softgel is labelled 7,500 mcg (25,000 IU) and a bottle of 180 gives about six months at one a day. The softgel shell contains bovine gelatin, so it is not vegetarian, and the label states it contains no titanium dioxide.

How to use

Take one softgel daily with a meal.

Before you choose

Adults only. Separation and colour variation in the softgel may occur; NOW states this is natural and does not affect quality. The softgel contains bovine gelatin. The product is made in a facility that processes other ingredients containing wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish and sesame. Store in a cool, dry place after opening. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions. Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision.
