AstaxanthinNOW Foods Astaxanthin 4 mg, 90 Softgels

Astaxanthin from microalgae in a softgel

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid, and in this formula it is derived from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae that the label describes as non-GMO. The ingredient is named as Zanthin on the pack and is suspended in olive oil with mixed tocopherols, sunflower oil and rosemary extract.

Capsule and quality details

The softgel shell is made with bovine gelatin, so this is not a vegetarian or vegan product, and the label marks it as kosher. NOW describes the supplement as GMP quality assured and made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients.

What comes in the pack

You receive 90 softgels. The suggested amount is one softgel a day, so a single bottle covers roughly three months at that rate.

How to use

Take 1 softgel daily with a meal that contains some fat.
