Ultimate Omega Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega, Lemon, 60 Soft Gels (640 mg per Soft Gel)

Fish oil in fish-gelatin soft gels

Ultimate Omega is a fish oil made from anchovies, sardines, mackerel and herring, in re-esterified triglyceride form. The soft gel shell uses fish gelatin from tilapia, so it suits pescatarian diets but not vegetarian or vegan ones.

Taste and processing

The label lists 1280 mg of omega-3s per two soft gels and a lemon flavour, with no fishy aftertaste. The fish oil is processed in Norway, and the label states it is third-party purity tested, Non-GMO tested by IGEN and certified sustainable by Friend of the Sea. The pack contains 60 soft gels at 640 mg each, so at the standard two a day it lasts 30 days.

How to use

Adults take two soft gels daily with food, or as recommended by a health care professional; for higher-intensity use the label suggests two soft gels twice daily with food. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
