A single-strain liquid probiotic

The drops contain one probiotic strain only, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, at 1 billion cells per serving, in a sunflower oil base with mixed tocopherols. The brand describes them as flavourless, with no added flavours or colours, and made from non-GMO ingredients.

Easy to give with a dropper

A serving is 5 drops a day from a dropper bottle. The drops can be given straight into an infant's mouth, on a spoon, mixed into breast milk or formula, or applied to the breast during feeding. The 10 ml bottle holds 30 daily servings.

Dropper care and labelling

All packaging is described as free of BPA, PVC and phthalates. The dropper and cap can be taken apart for washing, and the label says the product is free of the top eight allergens: peanuts, wheat, eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, tree nuts and soy.

How to use

Give 5 drops daily and shake well before use. Replace the original cap with the supplied dropper and white safety cap, twist clockwise to seal, and keep the plastic safety cap on the dropper while shaking the bottle vigorously. Remove the cap, invert the bottle and gently squeeze to dispense 5 drops. Give directly into the infant's mouth, by spoon, mixed into breast milk or formula, or on the breast during feeding. Do not let the infant suck on the dropper and do not place the dropper in the mouth. Do not add to hot food or before warming, as heat damages the live probiotics. Recap tightly after each use. To clean, disassemble the dropper and safety cap; they may be boiled to sanitise or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher, then dried thoroughly.

Before you choose

Please consult your doctor before giving this to a baby. Do not exceed the recommended serving and do not place the dropper in the mouth. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, at no more than 25°C (77°F); it may be refrigerated. Protect from moisture, recap tightly and discard 8 weeks after opening. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision.
