A soft, broken-in feel
The braided rope is soft on the hands from the start, with what Mendota describes as a broken-in feel. It is pliable enough to fold into a coat pocket, which suits walks, exercise, training and field use.
Built for wet walks
The multi-filament polypropylene rope has a solid core and is waterproof and colourfast, according to the maker. The solid brass snap is non-corrosive, and oil-tanned leather splices finish the ends. When it gets muddy, it can go in the washing machine and then be left to air dry.
Size and guarantee
At 1/2 inch wide and 6 ft long (about 1.3cm x 1.8m), this lead is the size Mendota lists for dogs over 50 pounds (about 23kg). It weighs 160g, matches Mendota's Double Braid Collars and is handmade in the USA. Mendota guarantees its dog gear for the life of your pet.
How to use
Clip the brass snap onto your dog's collar or harness, hold the looped handle and walk. After a muddy outing, the lead can be washed and left to air dry.
