This Champagne Glow version of Spackle is a transparent, featherweight primer that can be worn alone or under make-up. Laura Geller New York says the non-greasy formula helps minimise the look of pores and soften the appearance of fine lines, giving foundation a smoother surface to sit on.

What goes into the formula

Hyaluronic acid and squalane are included for hydration, while rice extract and marine fennel are there for a brighter-looking complexion. The brand states it is free of synthetic fragrance, parabens and phthalates, and that it is cruelty free. It is aimed at dry to normal skin types.

The 2 fl oz pump bottle is the super-size format of this primer, made in Italy. It measures about 13.97 x 1.91 x 1.91 cm and weighs 56.7 g.

How to use

Pump one or two shots onto the back of your hand. Massage a thin layer into clean skin before make-up and allow about a minute for it to absorb. Then wear it on its own or apply and blend your foundation.
