Kiss My Face calls this a triple-action toothpaste: it is designed to help remove plaque, help prevent tartar build-up and gently lift surface stains. Hydrated silica handles the stain-removal side, while the brand promises its Breath Blasting Freshness for a minty-fresh finish.

A botanical gel formula

Alongside tea tree oil, aloe and licorice root, the gel contains horse chestnut seed and olive leaf extracts, plus CoQ10 (ubiquinone). It is sweetened with xylitol and stevia and uses sodium methyl cocoyl taurate and sodium lauroyl sarcosinate as its cleansers. Peppermint oil and menthol provide the herbal mint taste.

Free from and cruelty-free

The formula has no parabens, triclosan, artificial colours, artificial sweeteners or gluten. It is Leaping Bunny certified, and Kiss My Face has followed a clean and cruelty-free approach since 1983. The tube holds 127.6 g (4.5 oz).

How to use

Adults and children aged 2 and over should brush after each meal, or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or physician. Children under 6 should use only a pea-sized amount and be supervised as necessary. For children under 2, check with a dentist or physician before use.

This is a fluoride-free toothpaste. Whitening here means gentle surface-stain removal, not bleaching. Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age, and if more than the amount used for brushing is swallowed, seek professional help immediately.
