This Espoir Nowear Balming Glow lipstick is marked Eve Vegan. Plant-sterol esters, caprylic/capric triglyceride and octyldodecanol form much of the base, held in shape by a synthetic wax, with tocopherol and lecithin further down the list. Its colour is built from several reds, yellow no. 5 and titanium dioxide.

CR501 Vivid

This is shade CR501 Vivid, in a 3 g bullet. The idea is colour with the lightweight moisture of a balm, so it sits between a tinted lip balm and a traditional lipstick in feel.

What long-lasting shine means here

Espoir describes the colour as long-lasting while the texture stays light and moisturising. Shine and colour will still fade with eating and drinking, so keep it with you for top-ups. Boxed, the lipstick measures roughly 9 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm, making it easy to carry.

How to use

Twist up the bullet, then glide the colour across your lips, starting at the centre and working outwards. Reapply when you want a fresh layer of colour.
