Super Mass GainerDymatize Super Mass Gainer, Rich Chocolate, 2.7 kg (6 lb)

A chocolate powder blended with milk or water

Super Mass Gainer is a powder mixed in a blender with water or whole milk, with ice or fruit added if you like. Dymatize notes that milk gives a thicker, creamier, higher-calorie shake. It can also be used in a shaker cup at half a serving or less.

The numbers per serving

One serving provides 1,280 calories, 52 g of protein, 245 g of carbohydrate and 11 g of fat. The label calls it a high protein and carbohydrate blend that is naturally and artificially flavoured and gluten free, and says it has been Informed Choice tested for banned substances.

What comes in the pack

The tub holds 2.7 kg (6 lb), which the label gives as 8 servings. It is sold by weight, not volume.

How to use

Add 2 1/2 cups of powder to 24 to 32 oz of water or 32 oz of whole milk and blend for 30 to 45 seconds. Add ice cubes, fruit or other ingredients if you like and blend for another 30 to 45 seconds. Use 1/2 serving or less in a shaker cup and shake for 30 to 45 seconds.
